Welcome to the website of the Chair of Communication Science with a focus on Economics and Media Organization.

Our research activities focus on three main topics:

(a) Economic behaviour and development of demand for media products (time use, consumption and advertising expenditure);

(b) Economic behaviour and structural change of the media economy and the media system (provider structure and structure of media supply);

(c) Objectives and measures of media regulation to ensure the diversity and quality of the media supply.

The research results flow into the media economics courses offered by the professorship.
